South India, comprising Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry, and Tamil Nadu, has been a major driver of growth for India over the last decade, contributing to over 22% of India’s GDP and nearly 28% of its employment. State Governments in the region have been keen to initiate several investor friendly policy initiatives and have announced a slew of signature projects towards development of infrastructure in the region. There has also been a strong focus on encouraging private sector participation in the sector. With this background, Confederation of Indian Industry (SR) is organizing the 2nd Edition of South India Infrastructure Investment Summit as an interactive one-day Summit to showcase the investment potential in Infrastructure in the Southern Region and discuss challenges and options for the State Governments to develop, finance and implement projects to help realize this investment potential. IL&FS, Yes Bank and IDFC are the knowledge partners of the Summit. | |||||||||||||||||
